WHAT IS HISTORY?
History is the study of the most important things that humans have done, said and thought in the past. Historians establish causal relationships between facts and place them in a significant pattern and order. In the end, the field of history expresses a perspective that enables people to understand how a society arrived at the historical moment, how it views itself, how it sees its place in the world, and determines the possible reactions of a society to future events.

HISTORY ASSOCIATES IN ARTS
The Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree is designed for the student who plans to transfer to a Florida public university as a junior to complete a Bachelor’s degree. A student who earns an A.A. degree from Broward College meets the lower division general education requirements of a Florida state university, but does not automatically meet the requirements for a particular major.
