Oral History Project
The Broward College Oral History Project's mission is to discover, record and preserve stories related to Broward College and the South Florida community. The project engages participants in the active process of "doing history" through training and application of professional practices. The Oral History Project (OHP) supports the College's mission to foster a diverse learning-centered community that celebrates continuity and connectivity.
Goals and Objectives:

Discover and record the history of South Florida and Broward College, and to create permanent repository of oral history material.

Create and sponsor programming to support the Oral History Project and to engage students from all Broward College Pathways.

Provide OHP workshops and seminars for faculty and students.

Create a Digital Archives Collection of OHP interviews in partnership wth the U/C Library.

Provide volunteer opportunities for working on video production, creating online content, and practicing communication and interviewing skills.
